Hello Kitty history
Hey again!!! Yesterday I was thinking about when Hello Kitty started and I decided to research it a little. i came up with this information. after talking via email with a person at Sanrio, I’ve learned some new stuff. this is what I’ve found out:
Hello kitty has been around for a while now. She has been around since 1974. In the beginning, she didn’t have a name. She was just a cute cat with a red bow on her left ear. But almost instantly Hello Kitty became famous because of her cuteness. When Hello Kitty had been given a name in 1975, she was also given a family. Her family consisted of Mama, Papa, Grandpa, Grandma, and her sister Mimi. The first Hello Kitty product was a Hello Kitty wallet, which came out when she got her name too.
Some interesting facts about Hello Kitty I just learned:
- Real name: Kitty White
- Birthday: November 1, 1974
- Blood type: A
- Birth place: Suburbs of London, England
- Favorite food: Mama’s homemade apple pie
That’s some cool stuff about Hello Kitty. while i was lokking around i found out some cool stuff about some of Hello Kitty’s friends.
Some interesting facts i found out about Dear Daniel, Hello Kitty’s boyfrind:
- Real name: Daniel Starr
- Birthday: May 3, 1974 (but introduced in 1999)
- Birthplace: London, England
- Hobby: Taking photos of animals
- Skills: Dancing and playing piano
- Future dream: to be a cameraman, or debut as a TV personality
- Favorite food: cheesecake and yogurt
- Family: Papa, Mama, little brother
- Trademark: His ultra-spiky fringe
Some interesting facts about Charmmy Kitty, Hello Kitty’s adorable kitten:
- Real name: Charmmy
- Birthday: October 31, 2004
- Personality: Well-mannered, quiet, listens to whatever Hello Kitty says
- Likes: Loves any object that is bright, shiny, or sparkly
- Charm point: Her lace-trimmed bow that was a present from Hello Kitty.
- Trademark: The key to Hello Kitty’s jewelery box, that she wears around her neck.
Some interesting facts about My Melody, Hello Kitty’s Friend:
- Real Name: Melody
- Birthday: January 18, 1975
- Birthplace: A forest in Maryland
- Favorite food: Almond pound cake
Thats all the cool facts I found that were worth mentioning. I mean there are like a million characters that Sanrio has but these are the ones that interested me the most.

First of all…
Hi all!!!! I am Briana. I am a high school student in California. Here’s a lil background info about me. i love hanging out with my friends (all the time if we can, we’re sooooo close). I love sports. I’m into softball and other sports. i have two absolutly adorable cats named Jake and Shadow. And of course, I LOVE HELLO KITTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s what this whole blog is about! Hello Kitty, Hello Kitty, and more Hello Kitty!!! I think that Hello Kitty and all of her friends are awesome. I think that Hello Kitty is important because she is a symbol for young girls. I grew up with Hello Kitty all around me. I grew up with going into Japan Town every other weekend and going to the Hello Kitty Store and always being amazed at all of the cool stuff. so for me, Hello Kitty is very important.
With this topic, i am planning to discuss about a lot of Hello Kitty facts, Hello Kitty fashion, Hello Kitty toys, and basically anything else that pops into my head about Hello Kitty. I guess you could say that this is a “hobby” or maybe an “obsession”. It doesnt really matter. All I know is that I love Hello Kitty.
So with all this talk about what I’m going to do, I think I should start telling you guys about my favorite things about Hello Kitty. So here it goes…
I guess I’ll start by telling you what my favorite Hello Kitty toy is. My favorite toy is the Hello Kitty Vinyl 
figurines. They are from Urban Outfitters and super cute. To me they just say “Look at me!!!! Arent I cute as anything there ever was?!?!?”. Sadly I wasnt able to get ahold of one of these cute figurines. 
These cute things were sooooo popular that i wasnt able to get one in time.
My next favorite Hello Kitty related things is Hello Kitty women’s Nikes. These shoes are fabulous. They are comfortable and absolutly fashionable. They are made of leather and have a really cool design on them. These are great. I love em.
There are some famous people that have come out to say that they are fans of Hello Kitty like: Christina Aguilera, Drew 
Barrymore, Big Boi of OutKast, Cameron Diaz, Mariah Carey, Carmen Electra, Calista Flockhart, Heidi Klum, Lindsay Lohan, Mandy Moore, Kelly Osbourne, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kimora Lee Simmons, Raven Simone, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Steven Tyler, Lady Gaga (in picture<-) and Miley Cyrus.
And because it’s that time of year again. Yes that’s right. IT’S CHRISTMAS TIME!!!! This is my favorite 
thing that has ever existed that’s for Christmas. What better way to celebrate then by celebrating with Hello Kitty right in front of you. I’ve never actually seen it in person. But I long to do so.
